The silk and today's trends

Silk is a fabric that since the ancient times played a great role in the development of cultures and arts of several civilizations. We all know that Japanese ancient civilization, Chinese, Korean, and generally, the Eastern Asia was usually linked to the silk production and silk market. Since those times, nothing very substantially changed. Silk remains to be the most appreciated fabric in the world and it is still a very popular fabric.

Ask any designer in the world and they will tell you that silk is a very beautiful and special fabric, but yet, it is not so easy to work in silk. It runs easily, it is hard to keep under the scissors and to cut properly. This is why, all the silk-made clothes, lingerie and other accessories are priced higher than ordinary linen, synthetics or cotton products, which are easier to work with and don’t require so much attention when you work with them.

What I appreciate the most in the silk are its glares and the way it reflects the light and the shines it reflects. I believe that reflections and the soft appearance of silk are one of the main reasons why ladies from all over the world and since all the times have appreciated silk and have dreamed to have at least one accessory or one piece of clothing that would have been made out of silk. It is just very attractive and it still stands for being trendy to wear a silk-made clothe or accessory.

Men also haven’t been left outside the frames of the silk trend and designers have invented some pieces of clothes for them, too. Silk shirts were a big hit a few decades ago and you can still meet classy gentlemen that choose to wear them as a daily clothe. Let’s not forget about one of the essential men’s accessories: the tie. Silk ties have always been a very attractive and beautiful piece of style, which always have been appreciated and designed to add even more class to a suit or a sweater.

Adding a silk tie to your wardrobe is easy and with it, you can bring more variety in the way some people see you and the way you show yourself in front of others. A thick silk tie, which is the latest trend in the last decade, is the most worn accessory by men of all age groups, no matter if it is for a special event or it is for a routine day by day usage. It is a much appreciated and wanted piece of clothing that can radically change the light in which you appear in front of others and can substantially change the looks of your entire outfit.
